The United States Olympic Training Center has done lots of research into proper recovery after vigorous exercise. Dr. William Sands has contributed numerous publications on the subject. It has been found a mixture of whey protein, high glycemic carbohydrates (3:1 or 4:1 ratio), amino acids, and antioxidants; including Vitamin C and E take in within 30 min of exercise is optimal for proper recovery. All of these can be found in chocolate milk! Yes CHOCOLATE MILK!!! Shawn Johnson is promoting milk through the “Drink Milk for a Change” campaign.
